York’s annual Dragon Boat Challenge will this year include a team – the Ousey Riders – who have agreed to donate 2/3 of their sponsor money to Refugee Action York and 1/3 to St Leonard’s Hospice.
We are delighted to receive this endorsement from Kostja and his fellow paddlers, and we hope RAY supporters will sponsor the team by donating through their Facebook page where you can find a PayPal link.
It would be really helpful if sponsors could state in the box marked Purpose that they are ‘RAY Supporters’. This allows the team to track the donations, and badger/congratulate individual team members for not reaching/reaching their fund raising targets. The individual target for each team member has been set at 70 pounds.
Please also turn-out to support the Ousey Riders on the banks of the River Ouse on Sunday 11 July at 10 a.m. The boats will be racing between Scarborough and Lendal bridges and the Ousey Riders will be wearing splendid Refugee Action York T-Shirts – so they should be easy to spot!
